Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Model Development for Vocational Lecturers

Lecturers are professional educators and scientists with the main tasks of transforming, disseminating science, technology art through education, research community service. Education in this century is a big challenge. The dominance knowledge education learning must be able to wise using machines for benefit. To create quality lecturers, lecturer development needed improve their abilities. This study aims develop comprehensive structured Continuous Professional Development (CPD) model achieve standardized educational goals vocational lecturers nautical program at Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran (STIP). Qualitative population 37 sample 24 lecturers. technique was purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques descriptive statistics. results showed that value continuous competency required 47% lecturers' perceptions, perceptions heads service departments, 61% programs, leadership elements (chairman/deputy chairperson) 59%, perception head assurance unit/headquarters urgently 66% group 77% apprenticeship on ships.
